Consisting of five modules, also to be attended separately.

The Master’s track Voice Dialogue and Transformational Psychology is intended for professional counsellors who have taken at least one year training in Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves and who are good facilitators. They want to deepen their process and refine their skills.

Objective and feature of the programme
The programme’s objective is the development of excellence, in ourselves and in our role of facilitator. The aim is to work more and more with the principles of the various methods and not get tied down to exact forms. These principles will be emphasised and we will learn to use them flexibly in our practice.

In the various programmes there will be exercises with Voice Dialogue and the principles of transformational psychology, with the aim of developing one’s own style. The level of the course is equal to post higher professional education. The theoretical framework of transformational psychology will be expanded. New approaches will be introduced and practised in order to integrate them in our practice.

Separate modules
The course consists of four blocks of three days and a training week on Crete. The modules enable participants to steer their own development.:

Block 1: Towards the Archetypes.

Block 2: Voice Dialogue and systems; relationships, family, groups, organizations, world affairs.

Block 3: Psychopathology and burnout.

Block 4: Voice Dialogue Deepening.

Block 5: Voice Dialogue and creative techniques

Program

Planning and method

Intake interview
The course starts with an intake interview. Together we assess whether the course fits in with your situation and educational wishes. We discuss the course’s planning, content and method. You can also impart your personal wishes. This interview, by Skype or phone, is a precondition for participation.

Training blocks
The course consists of four three-day training blocks, a training week in Crete, four intervision meetings of a part of the day and a completed one-day meeting. In total 22 days. There are approximately ten weeks between each block.

We work on the basis of material suggested by the participants themselves. Practising with situations from one’s own practice is dealt with in great detail. There are also homework assignments, cases and literary studies. The duration of the whole course is just over a year.

Intervision
In between the blocks there are peer meetings during a part of the day during which you work among yourselves. The objective is practising the methodologies with each other and working on the integration of what was learned in one’s own practice. There is room for discussing cases.

Register
Participants who wish to enrol in the Register Master of Transformational Psychology need to meet the corresponding exam requirements.

Programme

Block 1 – seven days: Towards the Archetypes
A special training course on the mythical island of Crete in Greece. The training course has the nature of a retreat and focuses on personal and professional deepening through working with dreams, energetics and archetypes. Working with archetypical energy patterns goes beyond work on a personal level. A deeper layer in our subconscious is tapped and actuated.
Naturally, we work with Voice Dialogue, but also with creative teaching methods such as movement, dance and rituals. We will also visit archaeologically and psychologically interesting places and special spots in nature have a role to play.

Block 2 – three days: Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves and systems
A continuation of the bonding patterns block of the basic training. We go more deeply into these bonding patterns in both professional and personal relationships. Futhermore we will apply Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of Selves to larger systems, such as family, work settings, organizations, communities, countries, the World. Themes and polarities that are vivid in the world at that moment will be addressed.

Block 3 – three days: Psychopathology and burnout
An exciting module about ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ behaviour. Where is the dividing line and how do you recognise whether someone displays abnormal behaviour? Does a client have a personality disorder or is he or she for instance entangled in a bonding pattern? Is Voice Dialogue or another insightful method suitable or is a different approach required? And what if someone has a depression or burnout? How can you recognise this and what is the right approach in this case?

Block 4 – three days: Deepening, in search of meaning
We are frequently asked questions about how we can apply Voice Dialogue and the principles of Transformational Psychology to deep themes such as mourning, life and death matters, questions of meaningfulness. In this block we will facilitate a deepening process for all participants. We offer exercises from different traditions – both ancient and modern – and thus create a Field in which participants are able to gain new insights, learn powerful techniques, as well as experience a deepening in their own search for meaning.

Block 5 – three days: Voice Dialogue and creativity

The principles of Voice Dialogue and Transformational psychology can be applied to various creative teaching methods. You will experience the power of these teaching methods and learn to guide your clients in this in a playful manner. We will work with different creative materials  such as clay and collage. You will also learn how the principles of constellation work can be integrated in your practice and the work with  Rituals of transformation will be introduced. You are invited to design your own experiments and continue to develop your own unique style.

Didactics
The adopted learning method is self-directed learning. This fits in with the process-based approach of Voice Dialogue. Participants are stimulated to indicate what is required for one’s own learning process. In this way, certain aspects of the programme can be diverted from if necessary. This does not alter the fact that the organisation of this course has a desired blueprint in mind that everyone needs to meet at the end of the course.
